Walk Your Path (WYP) is a group mentorship program for young adults in Seattle designed to give them the tools to walk their own path in life, through the guidance of our greatest teacher - Mother Earth. Young adults will gain:
Meditation, mindfulness and basic energy techniques that promote a healthy nervous system
Tools and approaches for connecting to the natural world and personal intuition
Experience sitting in diverse community - learning to engage with others with an open mind and heart
New perspectives on coming-of-age topics like sex, drugs & alcohol, death, and identity & power
Who is this for?
Young adults (typically age 16 - 20) based in Seattle who are looking to discover who they are, build community, and deepen their relationship with the Earth.
How does it work?
We take small cohorts out into local nature areas (think: Discovery Park, Seward Park, WA Park Arboretum) every other week, over a period of 3 months.
While in nature, we give youth a series of invitations designed to help them drop in and connect with themselves and the natural world. We close each session by gathering together in community and allowing youth to share about their experiences and their lives beyond the group.
Why is this important?
Too many people in our society look up from their lives when they’re thirty, or forty, or eighty, and realize they would have done things much differently if they had been in the driver’s seat.
Instead of asking questions like 'What do you want to be when you grow up?" We ask:
-
Who are you, really? What do you love about yourself?
-
What unique gift do you offer the world?
-
What does happiness look like to you? What kind of life do you want to build for yourself?
Meet Your Guides
Two adult guides will accompany youth cohorts on each nature-based mentorship experience, to ensuring the safety of all participants and the diversity of persectives in the container.
